PEER SUPPORT SERVICES

Sometimes, the best remedy for mental health and substance use challenges is the attention of someone who understands. That's what peer services are all about;  people with similar life experiences supporting each other in reaching their full potential.  Peer Support Services provides individuals with peer specialists who have experienced some of the same challenges they are facing. Our peer support services are based on trust, and focus on living with mental health or substance abuse disorders, rather than being overcome by them.  Peer specialists “who have been there, done that” mentor individuals on self-care and resiliency skills, setting achievable goals, building on personal strengths, and making informed decisions. The focus is on independence; regaining control of their lives.
